At Beacon Properties, we want to ensure your home remains in great condition throughout your stay. As a tenant, there are routine maintenance tasks that you are responsible for to help keep your rental safe, clean, and comfortable.
Tenant Responsibilities:
✔ Regular Cleaning: Keep your unit clean, including kitchen appliances, bathrooms, and flooring, to prevent buildup and damage.
✔ Changing Air Filters: Replace HVAC filters as recommended (typically every 1-3 months) to maintain air quality and efficiency.
✔ Pest Control: Prevent infestations by keeping food sealed, taking out the trash regularly, and notifying management of any pest issues.
✔ Proper Waste Disposal: Follow local trash and recycling guidelines to avoid sanitation issues.
✔ Light Bulb Replacement: Replace standard light bulbs as needed to keep your space well-lit.
✔ Minor Clogs & Drains: Use approved drain cleaners or plungers for minor sink, toilet, or shower clogs. Avoid flushing non-flushable items.
When to Contact Maintenance:
🔧 Leaking Faucets or Pipes – Report water issues to prevent damage.
🔧 HVAC or Electrical Problems – If your heating, cooling, or power isn’t working properly, let us know.
🔧 Appliance Malfunctions – Notify us if provided appliances are not operating as expected.
🔧 Plumbing Emergencies – Severe leaks, burst pipes, or overflowing toilets should be reported immediately.
For non-emergency maintenance requests, please submit a request through the Resident Portal or contact our office. For urgent issues, call our emergency maintenance line.
